Here are some information about the amiibos' effects.

Activation

In Breath of the Wild's options, your first have to activate the amiibo function. Then, once in the game, go to the "Runes" menu, select the amiibo rune, then go back to the game. Now press L and place the amiibo on the right controller's joystick to activate its effect.

Effects

Archer Link

Generates a chest containing randomly a bow or some arrows, as well as some meats and fish.

Rider Link

Generates a chest containing a weapon, some arrows or an item for your horse, as well as some mushrooms.

Zelda

Generates a chest containing a shield, as well as some plants.

Bokoblin

Generates a chest containing a weapon used by the enemies (e.g. Dragonbone Boko Bat), as well as some meats.

Guardian

Generates some metallic crates containing some Ancient materials.

Mipha

Generates a chest containing the Silverscale Spear or the Divine Beast Vah Ruta Helm, as well as fish.

Daruk

Generates a chest containing the Stone Smasher or the Divine Beast Vah Rudania Helm, as well as simple ores (salt, flint).

Revali

Generates a chest containing the Falcon Bow or the Divine Beast Vah Medoh Helm, as well as fruits.

Urbosa

Generates a chest containing the Moonlight Scimitar or the Divine Beast Vah Naboris Helm, as well as meats.

Wolf Link

Generates a companion wolf with the same amount of hearts as the result of the Cave of Shadows Trial in Twilight Princess HD, or three hearts if you didn't play TP HD. The wolf attacks everything it sees and may guide you to the shrines.

Toon Link

Generates a chest containing a weapon, as well as some fish. On rare occasions: Sea-Breeze Boomerang, Tunic of the Wind, Trousers of the Wind or Cap of the Wind

Toon Zelda

Generates a chest containing a shield, as well as some flowers and vegetables. On rare occasions: Hero's Shield, Tunic of the Wind, Trousers of the Wind or Cap of the Wind

Link 8 bits

Generates a chest containing a shield, as well as some barrels containing some apples, arrows and rupees. On rare occasions: Trousers of the Hero

Link Ocarina of Time (ocarina)

Generates a chest containing a weapon or some arrows, as well as some fruits. On rare occasions: Biggoron's Sword, Cap of Time, Trousers of Time or Tunic of Time

Link Super Smash Bros

Before the Dueling Peaks: Generates a chest containing some arrows, as well as some fruits. On rare occasions: Cap of Twilight, Trousers of Twilight or Tunic of Twilight
After the Dueling Peaks: Generates Epona - she appears as a wild horse but is already tamed with four spurs. Register her that very day in a stable. If you don't, she'll disappear. If you forgot to register her, reset the amiibo in the console's options.

Toon Link Super Smash Bros

Generates a chest containing some arrows or a weapon, as well as some meats and fish. On rare occasions: Sea-Breeze Boomerang, Cap of the Wind, Trousers of the Wind or Tunic of the Wind

Zelda Super Smash Bros

Generates a chest containing a precious ore, as well as some flowers and vegetables. On rare occasions: Twilight Bow

Sheik Super Smash Bros

Generates a chest containing a random Sheikah weapon, as well as some flowers and mushrooms. On rare occasions: Sheik's Mask

Ganondorf Super Smash Bros

Generates a chest containing an ore, as well as some barrels containing rupees, fruits and/or arrows). On rare occasions: Sword of the Six Sages

Link Majora's Mask

Generates a chest containing some arrows (except Ancient ones) or a weapon, as well as mushrooms. On rare occasions: Fierce Deity Mask, Fierce Deity Armor, Fierce Deity Boots or Fierce Deity Sword

Link Skyward Sword

Generates a chest containing some arrows (except Ancient ones) or a weapon, as well as wooden crates containing apples, arrows and rupees (sometimes silver ones!). On rare occasions: Goddess Sword, Cap of the Sky, Trousers of the Sky or Tunic of the Sky

Link Twilight Princess
