Here are the locations where you can find rupees worth 50 rupees and over:

Tabantha

  • 50 : At the Rito Stable, talk to Lester and give him a bottle of Goron Spice to cook a curry. Linked to the "Curry for What Ails You" quest.
  • 100 : At Rito Village, at the inn, talk to Jogo and give him a flint. Linked to the "The Spark of Romance" quest.
  • 100 : At Rito Village, talk to Juney and bring her a Baked Apple. Linked to the "The Apple of my Eye" quest.
  • 50 : At Rito Village, talk to Amali and agree to look for her daughter. Linked to the "Find Kheel" quest.
  • 50 : North of Rito Village, inside the Sha Warvo Shrine.
  • 100 : [Once you've calmed Medoh] At the village's entrance, talk to Gesane and agree to get rid of a Frost Talus at Coldsnap Hollow. Linked to the "Face the Frost Talus" quest.
  • 100 : North of the Tabantha Tower, fly to the islet in the middle of Strock Lake, and open the chest at the top of the islet.
  • 100 : At Tabantha Frontier, on a high rock south of the Great Fairy Fountain and south of the path, open the chest.
  • 300 : At Tabantha Frontier, in the western part of Rayne Highlands, inside the Kah Okeo Shrine.

Gerudo Region

Gerudo Desert

  • 50 : At the entrance of Gerudo Canyon, between Mount Nabooru and the northern part of Mount Hylia, use Magnesis to dig out the buried chest right by the path.
  • 50 : North of the Jee Noh Shrine, use Magnesis to dig out the chest against a giant baobab tree by the path.
  • 300 : At the Gerudo Canyon Stable, talk to Sesami and agree to find his friends. Linked to the "Missing in Action" quest.
  • 300 : In Gerudo Canyon, talk to the traveler Zyle and give him one of your horses. Linked to the "Good-Sized Horse" quest.
  • 50 : In the north-northeastern part of Koukot Plateau, around the planks, open the chest.
  • 50 : In the southeastern part of Koukot Plateau, but west of the planks, open the buried chest.
  • 100 : At Kara Kara Bazaar, in the middle of the oasis, use Cryonis and Magnesis to get a chest at the bottom of the water.
  • 50 : At Kara Kara Bazaar, talk to the Rito Guy and bring him a Chilly Elixir. Linked to the "An Ice Guy" quest.
  • 50 : Behind the inn at Kara Kara Bazaar, use Magnesis to take the chest out of the sand.
  • 50 : In Karusa Valley, in the round room before you enter the Yiga Clan Hideout, in a chest hidden behind a tapestry.

  • 50 : Next to the Dragon's Exile - North, on a flat rock.
  • 100 : Next to the Dragon's Exile - North, right next to a flat rock.
  • 300 : All the way to the southwest of Gerudo Desert, inside the Hawa Koth Shrine.
  • 50 : Next to the entrance of the East Gerudo Ruins, use Magnesis to take the chest out of the sand.
  • 300 : West of Mount Granajh, inside the Dila Maag Shrine.
  • 100 + 300 : In the South Lomei Labyrinth, during "The Desert Labyrinth" quest.
  • 50 : At the top of Mount Granajh, southern side, use Magnesis to take the chest out of the snow.
  • 300 : In the Western Gerudo Region, west of the Takama Shiri Shrine (DLC), in the centre of a small monument.

Gerudo Highlands

  • 2x 50 : On the path between Mount Agaat and Gerudo Summit, in a chest.
  • 50 : On the path between Mount Agaat and Gerudo Summit, in a chest inside a skull.
  • 50 : In the western part of Sapphia's Table, in a buried chest.
  • 50 : In Sapphia's Table's skull, in a buried chest.
  • 100 : In the eastern part of Sapphia's Table, in a buried chest next to a group of fir trees.
  • 50 : In the eastern part of Vatorsa Snowfield, northeast of a huge enemy camp, in a buried chest.
  • 50 : In the northern part of Vatorsa Snowfield, northeast of a skull and northwest of a huge tree, in a buried chest.
  • 50 : Southeast of the Keeha Yog Shrine, on high grounds, and northwest of the skull, in a buried chest.
  • 100 : In the Risoka Snowfield, inside the Kema Kosassa Shrine.
  • 100 : In the Risoka Snowfield, southwest of the easternmost skull in the snowfield, in a buried chest.
  • 100 : Northwest of the Gerudo Tower, inside the Sho Dantu Shrine.
  • 300 : Between the Gerudo Tower and the Sho Dantu Shrine is some sort of hill. Get on its southeastern side, move the small rock to the right and go behind the huge rock to enter a secret cave. Open the chests containing a golden rupee, an Opal and some Bomb Arrows. There are also several Gerudo weapons.

Gerudo Town

  • 100 : From the entrance, climb the first stairs to the left and open the chest.
  • 300 : Talk to Malena and agree to help her cure her husband. Linked to the "Medicinal Molduga" quest.
  • 100 : [Once you've calmed Naboris] Talk to Liana, the soldiers captain, and agree to go look for Barta. Linked to the "The Search for Barta" quest.

Faron - Lake Tower

  • 50 : On the islet southwest of Hylia Island, use Magnesis to dig out the buried chest.
  • 50 : On the islet north of Hylia Island, use Magnesis to dig out the buried chest.
  • 100 : Northwest of Lake Hylia, in front of the Hylia River waterfall, use Magnesis to get the chest at the bottom of the water.
  • 50 : Southeast of Lake Hylia, in the water next to the bank, there are three floating chests. Use Cryonis to take them out of the water and open them. One of them contains 50 rupees, another some Shock Arrows and the third one a Giant Boomerang.
  • 100 : South of the Faron Grasslands, at the Mounted Archery Camp, talk to Straia and agree to find a giant horse. Linked to the "Hunt for the Giant Horse" quest.
  • 50 : North of Laverra Beach, next to the last trees, use Magnesis to take the chest out of the sand.
  • 100 : At Laverra Beach (in southwest Faron), in the water next to the beach, use Cryonis to open the floating chest.
  • 50 : At Laverra Beach, next to the enemy campsite, use Cryonis and Magnesis to get the chest at the bottom of the water.
  • 100 : In the northern part of Ibara Butte and north of the lake, use Stasis to move a metal plate, then open the chest underneath.
  • 50 : In Faron Woods, west of Damel Forest, in a deep pond, use Magnesis to take the chest out of the water.
  • 300 : In the forest, north of Dracozu Lake, right before you find the Spring of Courage (linked to the "The Sepent's Jaw" quest).
  • 100 : East of Pagos Wood, in the Floria River, use Cryonis to open the floating chest.
  • 100 : In the northwestern part of Damel Forest, there is an enemy campsite with a chest at the top of a tower. Use Magnesis to reach it.
  • 100 : In the northwestern part of Guchini Plain, use Cryonis and Magnesis to get the chest in the small lake.
  • 100 : Between Puffer Beach and the Komo Shoreline, use Cryonis on the floating chest in the middle of the great lake.

Faron - Faron Tower

  • 50 : In the southern part of Lake Floria, there are three floating chests. One of them contains a purple rupee.
  • 50 : In the lake east of Rodai Lake, use Magnesis to get a chest at the bottom of the water next to a big tree.
  • 50 : In Riola Spring, use Magnesis to get the chests at the bottom of the water. One of them contains a purple rupee.
  • 300 + 100 : In the northern part of Corta Lake, in a small stone square with a rock in the centre, lift the rock with Cryonis, then freeze it and hit it, and finally destroy the ice pillar to open the two chests underneath.
  • 50 : South of the waterfall located south of Corta Lake, use Magnesis to free the rock, then Cryonis to open the two floating chests.
  • 100 : On Clarnet Coast, in the centre, next to a small bokoblin campsite, take the chest out of the sand.
  • 120 : At Yambi Lake on Tuft Mountain, talk to Wabbin and help him seduce a Gerudo. Linked to the "A Gift of Nightshade" quest.
  • 100 : At Lurelin Village, talk to Sebasto and agree to chase the monsters on Aris Beach. Linked to the "Take Back the Sea" quest.
  • 50 : At Lurelin Village, talk to Kiana and Kinov who want to cook some Seafood Paella, and bring them the missing ingredients. Linked to the "What's for Dinner?" quest.
  • 50 : At Cape Cresia, in a small bokoblin campsite, take the chest out of the sand.
  • 100 : At Cape Cresia, in a small lizalfos campsite on the water, fight or avoid the three Lizalfos and open the chest.
  • 300 : In Necluda Sea, on Eventide Island, inside the Korgu Chideh Shrine.
  • 100 : In Necluda Sea, north of Eventide Island, on some sort of underground island that you can see on the map. Use Cryonis to go there, then Magnesis to take the chest out of the water.
  • 50 : In Necluda Sea, northwest of Eventide Island, open the chest on a rock.
  • 300 : At Rabella Wetlands, where the black Hinox is, use Magnesis to take the chest out of the ground.

Hyrule Ridge

  • 100 : At the Breach of Demise, enter the westernmost skull and use Magnesis on the buried chest.
  • 50 : In the West Hyrule Plain, under the natural bridge, use Magnesis to take a chest out of the water south of the campsite.
  • 100 : Northwest of Satori Mountain, at the bottom of the mountain, use Magnesis on a chest buried in the ground.
  • 300 : At Satori Mountain, inside the Mogg Latan Shrine.
  • 500 : At the Tabantha Stable, talk to Toren and help him find the Great Fairy Fountain. He gives you 500 rupees as an offering. Linked to the "A Gift for the Great Fairy" quest.
  • 50 : West of Mount Rhoam, at the bottom of the mountain, blow up the cracked rocks, then open the chest.
  • 100 : North of Lindor's Brow, inside the Maag No'Rah Shrine.
  • 50 : North of Mount Rhoam, there is a tent with a fire. Talk to Konba at the Footrace Check-In, pay 20 rupees to race and win.
  • 50 : Southwest of the Ridgeland Tower, on the lake's bank, use Cryonis to open the floating chest.

Central Hyrule

  • 100 : At the Outskirt Stable, feed the dog several times (meat, apples, spicy peppers...) and it will eventually go away. Follow it until a buried chest and use Magnesis to dig it up.
  • 100 : At the Outskirt Stable, talk to Trott and give him some Raw Gourmet Meat. Linked to the "A Rare Find" quest.
  • 50 : In the Regencia River, west of the Outskirt Stable, open the chest on a small rock.
  • 50 : West of Gleeok Bridge, in a small bokoblin campsite, use Magnesis to dig up a chest.
  • 50 : On the Exchange Ruins, use Magnesis to take the chest out of the water.
  • 100 : In the Mabe Village Ruins, in an elevated chest.
  • 50 : Northwest of Rebonae Bridge, in a small bokoblin campsite, use Magnesis on the buried chest.
  • 50 : In the western part of Crenel Hills, in front of Boneyard Bridge, enter the cave shaped like a skull and open the chest.
  • On the island east of Hyrule Castle, go under Helmhead Bridge located north of this island.
  • 300 : At the Riverside Stable, talk to Parcy and show him a Royal Guard's ancient weapon. Linked to the "The Royal Guard's Gear" quest.
  • 300 : At the Riverside Stable, talk to Gotter and help him taste one of his ancestor's recipes, who was a cook at Hyrule Castle. Linked to the "A Royal Recipe" quest.
  • 50 : On the island southwest of Mount Daphnes, in a small bokoblin campsite next to Gleeok Bridge, use Magnesis on the buried chest.
  • 100 : South of Mount Daphnes, inside the Kaam Ya'tak Shrine.
  • 100 : South of the Sage Temple Ruins, look for a chest underwater thanks to Magnesis.
  • 100 : In the Water Reservoir, use Magnesis to take a chest out of the water. (Another chest hidden under a metal plate contains some Bomb Arrows.)

  • 50 : In Hyrule Castle Town Ruins - East, in a ruin west of the small ponds.
  • 50 : In Hyrule Castle Town Ruins, in its southeastern part, in a chest.
  • 50 : In the Central Square, northwest of a fountain's ruins, in a chest.

Hyrule Castle

  • 100 : In the Library, in a chest on the southern side of the room - see the walkthrough.
  • 100 : In the Library, in a secret room hidden by a bookshelf on the western side, in a chest - see the walkthrough.
  • 300 : In the Library, in a secret room hidden by a bookshelf on the northern side, in a chest - see the walkthrough.
  • 100 : In the Guards' Chamber (with 2 Lizalfos and a Moblin), next to some broken stairs, go along the wall to reach the upper floor, in one of the two chests.
